So, I'm not accustomed to elk meat, even though I like summer sausage. Having said that, this had a flavor I'm not used to, even though I recognized that -- with time -- I'd probably like it a great deal. Here's a better opinion: my friend, a native of Arizona, tried it and thought it was some of the very best he'd ever tasted. If I were you, I'd go with his opinion.

My new FAVORITE Jerky

This stuff is amazing. It’s extremely flavorful and well worth the money. I got the elk and old west beef jerky and it was AWESOME. Brought it with me on a trip with the Wife and everyone loved it. Looking forward to ordering several more pounds in the future.
